Looking from Above

By using a quirky figurative pose reference we will be using a different perspective. We will use a lying down pose seen from above to discover how to play with orientation, landscape or portrait. We will explore a quick, fun and easy way to represent draping fabric in my style of stripy towels.

MATERIALS

A 28 x 20 inch canvas
Pre mixed white gesso
A regular household decorating paintbrush(the older the better)
Acrylic paint
Amsterdam paynes grey
Amsterdam azo orange
Amsterdam turquoise green
Vallejo quinacridone crimson (#809)
Amsterdam titanium white
Amsterdam raw sienna
Amsterdam pyrole red
Large size brayer- 4 inches (a foam roller will do)
Old credit card
Water spray bottle
Paper towels
Black charcoal pencil
Pastel fixative spray
1.5 inch flat edge brush
3/4 inch flat edge brush
Tiny brush for facial detail only
