I am a British artist now living in Southern Spain.
My art journey only began in 2015 when I made the move from the U.K. to Spain; previous to that, I hadn’t picked up a paint brush in more than 20 years.
As a child, I was creative and enjoyed art throughout school and college. I was always interested in textiles, pattern and colour, but I never studied fine art or painting. I completed a B.A. Hons Degree in Three-Dimensional Design and Ceramics in 1994, going on to open a glassware workshop after graduation. My life then took a different route into Retail and Outdoor Event Management until my life-changing move to Spain. The light, the space, the fresh air, and the change of pace in Spain spurred me on to change my life and fulfill my dream to become an artist. Mostly self-taught, I soon found my direction and my passion for painting female faces and figures by drawing on my previous loves of colour and pattern. In this short time, I have exhibited in Spain and sold my art across the globe. I have also taught online workshops to share my fun, laid-back approach to painting. With this website, I continue that goal. I work from a studio built amongst the olive groves and fruit tree orchards on the three acres of land I share with my four rescue dogs, various foster puppies, numerous chickens, ducks and turkeys.
